I am
fortunate to have had a successful thirty year career in pharmacy. I
began pioneering the computer software industry in 1974 when very few
pharmacies recognized the need for automation. By 1988 pharmacy was
100% computerized. In 1995, after Rx profits dropped dramatically and
the need for additional profits became clear, I founded the JAG Group,
focusing on the high profit sales of nutrition and consulting services.
Because
of the need to grow your business, many of you invested in JAG to
increase the sales of nutrition and consulting, as well as PCCA for
compounding, Diabetes Shoppe for diabetic care, weight programs and
many others. Yet after making these investments, 90% of most pharmacy
business is still in filling prescriptions.
The need is

I ask my pharmacist associates, “If you had the time and expertise to

communicate to your customers the full value of your products and
services, could you increase sales by 10%?” The answer is always a
resounding “Yes.” So, let’s do it. People need to know the role you can
play to improve their efforts in healing or managing chronic health
conditions. You should take your place as the recognized authority for
integrative health care in your community.
